Eddie L. Meeks

Attorney Eddie L. Meeks is a native of North Carolina. He began his undergraduate career at Belmont Abbey College in Belmont, North Carolina where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a minor in Pre-Law. Prior to his college career, Mr. Meeks served honorably in the United States Navy aboard the USS Pensacola. After a successful naval career, Mr. Meeks obtained his Law Degree from North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham. While in law school, he was employed with the Wake County District Attorney’s Office and the North Carolina Legal Aid Society where he became the recipient of the Martin Luther King scholarship award as a testament to his dedication to public service. In addition, he was honored to serve as a member of the Project on Actual Innocence and the International Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity.

Upon graduating from law school, Attorney Meeks accepted a position as an Assistant District Attorney with the Gaston County District Attorney’s Office. While employed with the office, Attorney Meeks prosecuted all misdemeanor and felony cases including but not limited to Capital Murder, Murder, Felony Drugs, and DWI. In Addition, Attorney Meeks became a certified instructor and taught juvenile and constitutional law to new police recruits during Basic Law Enforcement Training.

Today, Attorney Meeks is a member of the Gaston County and American Bar Associations. Mr. Meeks focuses on serious felony and criminal matters including DWI and minor traffic offenses, child custody, divorce, personal injury, wrongful death, social security disability, workers comp, and cases involving juveniles.

Attorney Meeks provides his clients with competent, effective and professional representation. He remains steadfastly committed to the American principle of “liberty and justice for all.”
